Can you remind us of the principle of this event?
This is a day totally dedicated to the sellers of our Marketplace. The main objective is to create a concrete relationship with our sellers, to allow them to interact with the Cdiscount Marketplace teams. For our sellers, it is a unique opportunity to meet their E-commerce Consultant face-to-face, who helps them daily to develop their business on our Marketplace.
This day was also the occasion for Cdiscount to present the additional services available to sellers: Cdiscount Fulfilment which manages the logistics of the sellers as well as the Pole Position Program which allows sellers to highlight their offers on the site. The CdiscountPro teams were also present to introduce their brand new Marketplace, which offers sellers new opportunities for their products.
When and where did it take place?
After the 1st edition in Bordeaux in June 2016, the Cdiscount Sellers Day 2017 took place on April 7th, in Paris in the Exhibition area of the Pullman Montparnasse hotel. This Parisian and central appointment allowed more sellers to join compared to last year.
What have you organized for Marketplace sellers during this special day?
Our participants enjoyed a rich program. The event started with a plenary session with our COO, Marc Vicente. Google joined to present its vision of the major trends in e-commerce. Matthieu Cornec, Director of Digital Marketing and Data at Cdiscount, explained the use of Data Science to serve marketplace sellers. Lastly, Emmanuel Grenier, Chairman and CEO Cdiscount & CEO CNOVA reminded that if customers are at the heart of our attention, listening to sellers and their issues is a priority for Cdiscount. The plenary session ended with a prize-giving ceremony for the best seller of each category (Fashion, Home, High-Tech, Auto-Toy-Culture).
The rest of the day allowed a choice of various conferences given by the partners of the event and Cdiscount teams, as well as the possibility of individual appointments with them.
How many participants joined the Cdiscount Sellers Day?
More than 600 people attended our Sellers Day. A great evolution and a great success for an event prepared with diligence and expected by all the Marketplace teams as well as we hope, by all the sellers!

Our key partners contributed to the organization of the day. Aggregators, logistics specialists, marketing agencies or payment experts. They all took part of this day to meet and answer our sellers questions and give some conferences. You can find them here.

The plenary room totally full, the awards ceremony to the best sellers and the more than 300 individual appointments that took place throughout the day!
