Why do I have a warranty reserve?
This guarantee reserve is intended to cover any financial risks that may arise on your account. This protective measure, in the event of a business stoppage or significant slowdown, will enable you to ensure and manage your financial flows more serenely.
The dedicated amount is calculated on your sales flows and takes any debit risk arising either from invoicing inherent to your activity or from customer refunds as part of the after-sales service. The amount can be revised regularly with payments being transferred to your account if the amount is lowered.
What are my tax and social obligations as a Seller to private or professional customers?
Whether your clients are professionals or individuals, revenues generated through Cdiscount Marketplace must be reported to the relevant tax authorities.
Furthermore, income may be subject to social security contributions and membership of a social security scheme.
Please refer to the relevant information sheets provided by the relevant tax authorities to find out more about rules applicable to tax declarations, declaration of business activities, and the payment of any social security contributions:

These obligations apply to platform users resident in France or who make sales or services in France under and for the purposes of Articles 258 to 259 D of the French General Tax Code.
Please note that failure to comply with these obligations will result in penalties.

How do I set my shipping country ?
This must be configured in your Seller Area. All your orders must be processed from the country you wish to choose as your shipping country. If you ship from multiple countries, you need to set the country with the longest shipping time (e.g. if you ship 90% from France and 10% from China, you need to declare China as shipping country).
You can set your shipping country in the Settings tab of your Seller Area and then select Your Personal And Banking Data from the drop-down menu. When you are on this page select the Commercial Information tab and then on this page there is a shipping country settings section.
Why are customer ratings important ?
Customer ratings let you collect reviews about your shop and thus build confidence with future buyers. Customers are strongly encouraged to leave feedback and comments after ordering from partner sellers.
How should I handle a complaint/claim?
You have a guide detailing the buyer-Seller relationship in your Seller Area. (add in link to the Seller)
In the case of a sale to a professional customer, the latter does not benefit from a withdrawal period. The return policy is therefore at the discretion of the professional Seller.
How do I manage my orders ?
When a customer places an order for one of your products, you'll receive an email informing you of the order. You must then process it within 2 business days. You can easily manage your orders (accept or refuse any order, manage refunds, confirm shipment of products, process customer requests and complaints) via the Orders tab of your Seller Area or via the API.
What is the Seller Space ?
The Seller interface allows you to manage all your operations on the Cdiscount Marketplace:
– Creation and customization of your Cdiscount shop
- Catalogue management (integration of products for sale in the Cdiscount catalogue and update of your stock)
– Management of orders placed by customers
- Tracking your key indicators
– Customer Relationship Management
- Accounting tracking (billing and payments)
- Fulfilment tracking
How do I connect via API?
As soon as you submit your registration form, you'll receive your login details to connect to your Seller Area. Then go to the Settings/Your Personal And Banking Data/Connection Settings and you will find your connection settings to the API. Learn more on our REST API website or on our SOAP API website.
How do I get paid ?
Cdiscount charges the customer once the order is accepted by you. As soon as the sale is completed and the shipment confirmed, Cdiscount remits proceeds from sales every 10 days.
To receive payment for your sales, you must :
- Have filled in valid bank details during your registration.
- Have a positive balance on your account, after deduction of any customer refunds caused by complaints and the amount of subscriptions due, services subscribed to and the amount withheld under the guarantee reserve.
Please note that when the bank account details are communicated for the first time or following a change in them, the payment date may be delayed for a maximum of 20 days.
We will pay you the order amount, including shipping and handling costs, from which we will deduct the commission. Payments are made by bank transfer.
How do I cancel my subscription on Cdiscount Marketplace ?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Registration does not involved any commitment. Contact us through your Seller Area to cancel your account. Termination takes effect at the end of the final month
Caution: your Seller Area will remain accessible for 3 months, during which you must continue to manage the relationship with your customers.
Can I sell only to private individuals ?
If you want to sell only to private individuals, simply uncheck the Publish option in the Subscriptions section of your store settings.
What is the pricing model for professional sellers ?
The monthly subscription is * €39.99 EXC. VAT to sell to our private and professional customers on www.cdiscount.com.
Your subscription will take effect as soon as you complete the registration process. The monthly subscription payments are deducted from the earnings you make from selling on the site and are due on the 1st of each month.
Cdiscount also charges a commission on each sale made on the site at varying rates depending on the product category. (See the rates tab)
Your payment will therefore consist of :
- Income from sales
- Less commissions
- Less subscription
= Payment of the balance.
Cdiscount also ads Premium Subscription to access additional services to increase the visibility of your ads and to reach a wider audience. You can find out more about these Premium Subscriptions here.
How do I sell my products ?
Once you've submitted your registration form you'll be able to download your product catalogue and/or your ads in your Seller Area.
All you have to do is enter your available stock, product condition (new or used), and then set your own selling prices. Once your registration is validated and your account activated, you can then list your ads online, and they'll then appear on the Cdiscount.com site and will be visible to customers.
You can either do everything via your Seller Area or go through our API.

How will you support me in getting started on Cdiscount Marketplace?
Initially, an account manager will support you during your first month to familiarize you with how our marketplace works. You can also contact our sales support team either by phone or by raising a support request ticket in your Seller Area on the website. We also offer webinars hosted by our teams and online help articles.
How do I register and create my professional Seller account ?
What am I committing to when I sell on Cdiscount Marketplace ?
So as to ensure customers get the same level of quality of service as that offered currently by Cdiscount, sellers have to commit to a number of things that you can read about more in detail here and which are monitored by quality indicators available constantly in the Seller Area.
What is Cdiscount Marketplace?
Cdiscount Marketplace is a marketplace that lets professional sellers sell their new or used products to private or professional buyers on the Cdiscount.com website.

How do I manage my logistics ?
Within your Seller Area, you have access to your own dedicated logistics management interface. This lets you check your products, track your stock level, identify your top-sellers etc.
Our Octopia Fulfillment advisors will also be available to assist you in your marketplace business.
Are my products highlighted on the site Cdiscount.com ?
Yes, once your products have the Octopia Fulfillment label, they will gain visibility through a specific filter (Shipped by Cdiscount). What's more, they will also enjoy Free Shipping promotion where eligible (basket value of over €25).
Can I use my Fulfillment inventory to deliver my sales to other platforms?
Yes, with our external ordering service, you can use our Fulfillment solution to ship your products across all your sales platforms. You send us the order information and we manage all the preparation, shipping, and support on anything to do with logistics for you. Please find all the information on our dedicated page here.

What are the modes and delivery times of my customer orders?
Sales on Cdiscount :
Delivery modes are as per the Cdiscount site, namely :
– For products under 30 kgs: and 2m in 3D perimeters: collection points, home delivery, express delivery.
– for products over 30 kg and 2m 3D perimeter: large parcel relay point delivery and home delivery are available (at the bottom of the building/at home /at home + residential building).
Delivery times will be those corresponding to the delivery method chosen by your customer.
Sales made on another platform :
For an order placed on an external Marketplace or on your site, delivery will be made to the customer's home within 5 working days.
Available delivery modes:
– for products under 30 kgs and 2m 3D perimeter: standard delivery in France and Europe
- We will shortly be starting up an express service for orders placed in France.
How are my sales orders processed ?
Your order is treated as a Cdiscount order.
During periods of high demand, you get the benefit of Octopia's logistics capabilities with its 24/7 warehousing.
What is the maximum weight or maximum 3D perimeters permitted for processing an item?
We process items from 0 to 180 kg. The maximum 3D perimeter (length + width + height) is 5 metres. However, certain types of products subject to specific regulations will not be accepted, for example, those which are flammable or contain alcohol. Please contact the sales department if you sell products with any special characteristics.
Which warehouses will my products be stored in?
This will depend on product category. At Cdiscount there are 2 categories :
* Small products (Weight < 30 kg and (length + width + depth) < 2 M). These will be stored at our logistics centre in Cestas (Dept: 33). * Bulky products (Weight > 30 kg or with 3D perimeters (length + width + depth) > 2 M). They will be stored at either of our two centres at Andrezieux (Dept:42) and Saint Mard (Dept 77) in France.
Our modern buildings feature quality and automated preparation, packaging and shipping processes. All operations are traced and tracked in real-time. All our staff has significant experience in e-commerce logistics. The sites are also all secure and have 24-hour security personnel.
Is there a minimum number of items required to use the Octopia Fulfillment service?
No, you can outsource all or part of your logistics and associated Customer Relationship Management. You can discuss this all with the Octopia Fulfillment team and agree together on which type of products are most profitable for you.

How do I sell internationally ?
Registering is simple: you can do it in 3 clicks from the Seller Area. Just go to the ""Settings > Your Shipping Choices > check International Delivery box.
When you check this box, your entire catalogue becomes eligible for international sales (Fulfilment ads included except for products over 30 kg outside Belgium).
You can set your shipping costs from your Seller Area.
What kind of solutions do you provide?
We offer multiple solutions to generate more traffic to your product listings, such as search-engine sponsored products, or a special feature on the Cdiscount.com home page. We also offer smart voucher solutions to generate more conversions.
Which modes and delivery timings apply for international shipping?
You can choose the same delivery modes internationally as for home delivery shipments within France. Collection-point and in-store collection deliveries are not available for international orders.
Delivery times shown are calculated based on the shipping country you selected in your shop settings and the delivery country of the order.
Delivery times advised to the customer are the sum of the preparation times (which you have filled in for each offer) and the delivery time, depending on the countries of shipment and delivery. This is expressed in working days.
Standard package :
Are you shipping within your shipping country ? 1 to 3 days
Are you shipping from one European country to another European country? 2 to 7 days
Shipping from a country outside Europe? 10 to 20 days
Large package :
Are you shipping within your shipping country ? 2 to 7 days

Which language do I use for managing customer relationships ?
Regardless of delivery country, and since the Cdiscount.com website is in French, Customer Relationship Management is always in French.
How do I set up sales and shipping prices for international delivery?
The sales price (INC.VAT) you enter in your Seller Area is unique. We'll soon be offering the option of setting different prices by country. VAT payable may vary from one country to another.
Shipping costs - you can apply extra shipping cost to European countries. Go to Settings > Your Shipping Choices.
These charges are additional to the main and supplementary charges set out for each of your ads. Additional charges balance applies to all European countries.
You can set a different amount depending on the product template (standard package vs. large package).
As a reminder, only Belgium is eligible for the delivery of your Fulfilment products over 30kg

No, this international shipping option is free.
Which countries outside France can I sell to?
Cdiscount has opened up its Marketplace to more than 200 million European consumers in Belgium, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Italy.
By checking the International Delivery box, your entire catalogue becomes visible to consumers who want their orders delivered to Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Luxembourg.
You can set up deliveries of your products to these 5 countries and can set your shipping costs.

What are the specific details for selling to professionals ?
To trade with private and professional customers on Cdiscount.com., you only need to publish your offering in one go.
Order management, product delivery, and customer relationship management are the same [in all cases].
There are only two key specific things to bear in mind :
- Professional customers will need a proper invoice for each order to be provided as part of normal business practice by the Seller
- There is no withdrawal period for distance selling to business clients.

No, you cannot sell to professional sellers only.

What is Cdiscount Advertising ?
Cdiscount Advertising is a set of solutions that let you build visibility both for your shop and for your product selection.
How do I make my ads eligible for Cdiscount On-Demand ?
You can make your products eligible for our Cdiscount Program On-Demand in two different ways.
Either by leveraging our logistics expertise with Cdiscount Fulfilment. You entrust us with your stock, we manage all your orders (preparation, packaging, delivery and customer relationship management) while you manage your sales and inventory from your Seller Area.
Or by managing express shipments yourself with Cdiscount Express Seller. You register for this program, we check the quality of your deliveries and then we validate your registration. You can start setting your ads and preparing your express orders the same day for delivery the next day. To do this, you can use your own contracted shipping carriers.
What is Cdiscount On-Demand ?
Cdiscount On Demand (or CDAV) is an annual subscription offered to Cdiscount customers which provides free*, unlimited express delivery on all products sold by Cdiscount or delivered by Cdiscount Fulfilment. Your eligible ads will carry the Cdiscount On-Demand logo and will be highlighted on the home page during major events: Black Friday, sales promotions etc.
